As a part of school assignment, we were asked to make promotional video for any client. Our team of 2, we chose a remote control car company called Pro-Line and did our video on it. For, that, we did lot of preproduction work, like writing the script, doing storyboards and shotlist. I will show all of the work we have done for this project.
The concept pitch was the first thing we did, like explaining our idea and how we will be shooting and edit the video and how the final product will look like. During this stage, we also planning on where to film and which remote control cars to buy as propr for the shoot. We planned to have kids play with the remote control cars as we filmed.
The second step was to write a script the video. We used Celtx program to script it. We kept the script as simple as possible and up to 30 seconds only. Even before we started writing, we planned the whole video step by step, so it made us easier while writing the script. And since, this only 30 seconds long, we had to keep it simplified.
Finally,we started our shoot with a Nikon D3400 camera and with 18-55 mm lens. Since we used very small remote control cars, we also used Sony Macro Lens to be able to shoot the cars of large size. We were given eqiupment by the school and we rented Sony Macro Lens seperately. We had to do lot of tracking shots with camera since the cars will be moving a lot. I think we achived it well.
